Following a recommendation by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Safety Scotland are delighted to now be working in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) and Aberdeenshire Council on the delivery of a Foundation Apprenticeship in Construction at Alford, Portlethen and Turriff academy’s.
We are delighted to announce that our Safety Advisor Geoff Shearer won Young Construction Professional of the Year at this year's Trades Awards. Congratulations Geoff, we are extremely proud of you!!

Two Derbyshire-based construction firms have been sentenced to fines totalling nearly £300,000 for safety breaches as a result of separate investigations into reported cases of carpal tunnel syndrome and hand arm vibration syndrome to employees.
