Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme

Description

The SSSTS is a two-day CITB Site Safety Plus course designed for those who have, or are about to take on, supervisory responsibilities within the construction industry. Endorsed by the UK Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors on UKCG sites, it provides a solid foundation in health, safety, welfare and environmental responsibilities at site level. Certification is valid for five years and this course is an ideal progression from the HSA and a natural stepping stone towards the SMSTS.

Objectives

Candidates will understand how health and safety law applies to their supervisory role, be able to carry out risk assessments and understand method statements, conduct site inductions and toolbox talks, and monitor site activities effectively, including intervening when unsafe practices are identified.

Course Contents
