Safety Scotland Team Take on Big Challenge
Three members of the Safety Scotland team are taking on their biggest challenge to date!
On Saturday 2nd October, Michelle, Geoff and Chris will be undertaking the Ben Nevis at Night Challenge. Starting on the stroke of midnight the team will leave Glen Nevis, with the help of experienced mountain guides, and will climb to the summit of Ben Nevis arriving just as the sun begins to rise over the stunning surrounding scenery.
This challenge will involve the team walking a distance of over 18 km up to the summit of the Ben Nevis (the highest point in Scotland and the British Isles), standing at the lofty height of 1345 metres and will test them all both physically and mentally.
The team will not only be doing this to challenge themselves, but also to raise money for a fantastic charity based in Aberdeen, Charlie House.
Charlie House was established to help make life better for babies, children and young people who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and to support their parents, brothers and sisters, and all those who love them.
The team have set up a JustGiving page and would ask you all for your support to help them meet their target of £1000 to enable the charity to continue their work, supporting babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions and their families.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
